Peace Energy Cooperative

Peace Energy Cooperative is a renewable energy co-op based in Dawson Creek that runs on membership and member investment. From its office it has designed, supplied and installed almost one million watts of rooftop and ground mount solar in the BC and Alberta Peace region, with a solar consultant who designs arrays for customers and a free solar consultation on offer. Business solar is a featured topic, and the co-op co-hosts regular webinars for the public. It has also worked on wind power near Dawson Creek and on a cooperatively financed solar farm. Community members can join the co-op as members and investors, and it publishes a newsletter and a blog. The co-op served on the college committee that secured an $8M federal grant for a campus facility in Dawson Creek. Rated 4 from four Google reviews, two of them five stars.
