Solar Energy Contractors in Telkwa, BC

Telkwa is a small town in the Smithers and Bulkley Valley region of northern British Columbia, and it has one page of solar energy contractors with a single business on it: EA Energy Alternatives Ltd. The work that comes out of this part of the province is off-grid. EA Energy Alternatives designs, sells and installs power systems for properties that run without a grid connection, and it has done so since 1984.

Its work covers solar panels, battery storage and off-grid systems, including solar, batteries and generator hybrid systems for work camps, recreational properties and full-time off-grid living. The office, shop and warehouse in Telkwa run off the grid themselves, so the people designing these systems live with the same kind of setup. It carries a 4.5 rating from 2 Google reviews, which is a short history, so a call or a quote request will tell you more than the number does.

Best solar energy contractors in Telkwa

If you are in the Bulkley Valley and your property sits away from the grid, this is the kind of contractor the area leans toward: design, supply and installation from one company that has put in more than 40 years on remote systems. Telkwa is too far from a larger city to share a page with one, so this page covers the town and the region around it on its own.

Is the BC Hydro solar rebate available for a Telkwa home?

As of October 2026, the BC Hydro solar rebate needs a BC Hydro residential account and is not open to customers of other utilities in B.C. An off-grid property with no utility account would not qualify, so ask the contractor what applies to your situation before you plan around it.
